Role and Responsibilities:

• Taking your place as the leader of an agile team driving the latest development practices.
• Managing people yet staying close to engineering by writing code and unit tests, working with API specs and automation.
• Identifying opportunities for adopting new technologies.
• Leading a team of engineers that delivers knowledge management solutions to businesses worldwide.
• Lead incident, problem and change management for multiple programs and platforms
• Influence innovative changes and improvements by challenging status quo and demonstrating risk taking.
• Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis and determine short term and long-term fixes extremely fast.
• Ability to communicate problems/issues across multiple levels of leadership and obtain concurrence on go-forward approach quickly for time-critical issues.

• 8+ years of Software Development experience.
• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or information technology
• 2 + years of experience with OpenSource concepts
• 8 + years' experience in software engineering skills in Java, API, REACT, Java Script, Big Data
• 5 + years' experience in automating and optimizing development workflows.
• 5 + years' experience in Change Management, Problem Management, and Incident Management processes.
• 3 + years' Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 + years of Cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, and database engineering
• Strong NO SQL Database (Proficiency in one or more of: MemSQL, Couchbase, HIVE, Hbase, Elastic Search)
• Expert in refactoring skills with the goal being proactive platform improvement.
• Demonstrate increased self-reliance to achieve team goals.
• Exposure and up to date with industry reference of tech trend and solutions.
