• Lead and mentor Engineering Managers and cross-functional teams, ensuring high performance, delivery quality, and system reliability
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across platform and backend systems, particularly in distributed and event-driven environments
• Collaborate closely with product leadership to define roadmaps, align priorities, and balance scalability, performance, and technical debt
• Drive engineering best practices, including API-first design, CI/CD, and modern development methodologies
• Own system health, scalability, and observability, ensuring infrastructure supports high-throughput and real-time processing demands
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across engineering teams
• Oversee execution of complex technical initiatives, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and performance challenges

Requirements:

• Extensive experience leading multiple engineering teams, including managing managers, within a fast-paced, product-driven environment
• Strong technical background in backend or platform engineering, with expertise in designing scalable distributed systems
• Proven experience with event-driven architectures and real-time data processing at scale
• Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with product and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions
• Strong understanding of modern engineering practices such as Agile, CI/CD, and domain-driven design
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to navigate complex technical challenges while maintaining a balance between strategic vision and hands-on execution
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
