This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager in India.

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the engineering delivery of a customer-facing telematics platform used by millions of drivers worldwide. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of platform features, from planning and design to execution and delivery, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Customer Success, and QA, to deliver seamless experiences while managing BAU and production priorities. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership, providing the chance to mentor and grow a high-performing distributed team. You will shape the platform’s evolution, optimize operational processes, and make a tangible impact on user safety and satisfaction globally.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end engineering delivery and reliability of the customer-facing telematics platform, balancing feature development, production stability, and BAU tasks
  • Define the vision and execute the roadmap for the next-generation platform, driving innovation and scalability
  • Collaborate across Commercial Mobility, Crash & Claims, and other platform teams to ensure a unified and high-quality user experience
  • Plan and oversee migration and consolidation of legacy portals with minimal disruption to customers
  • Monitor system performance, manage incidents, and ensure high availability and responsiveness
  • Partner with Product and customer-facing teams to prioritize and resolve critical issues impacting users
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team, fostering collaboration and technical excellence
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
    • 8–12+ years of software engineering experience, including 3–5+ years in engineering leadership roles
    • Proven track record of delivering production-grade, customer-facing platforms with responsibility for system availability, performance, and reliability
    • Hands-on experience designing and operating scalable systems, including microservices, web architectures, and high read-volume systems
    • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, monitoring, and observability
    • Demonstrated ability to execute in fast-paced environments, balancing roadmap delivery, BAU, and production priorities
    • Experience leading distributed teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, QA, Support, Customer Success)
    • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and system analysis skills with a strategic and operational mindset
