The Premiere Pro team is looking for a hardworking, self-motivated Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers with a passion for delivering a world-class, innovative, and compelling video creation application to a world of passionate and creative users. Premiere Pro is the industry leading video editing platform and our users depend on our application and tools to deliver outstanding video experiences. What you'll Do
- Directly manage and mentor a team of hardworking engineers, supporting their personal efficiency and career growth
- Actively collaborate with partners in Product Management, User Experience, Product Marketing, and Program Management to set vision for your team, develop a roadmap to follow that vision, and drive the team to execute that roadmap with an emphasis on velocity with high quality
- Dynamically work with peer managers to collectively develop an outstanding video creation platform for customers
- Embrace and extend modern development practices, testing methodologies, and tooling to ensure quality and performance in all phases of development
- Cultivate a diverse and creative environment that challenges and strengthens your team and the Premiere organization
- Anticipate issues, suggest solutions, and partner with fellow managers to provide your team the best opportunities for success
- Dedicate work and time to building a strong and culture, a healthy, scalable codebase & infrastructure, and the best Premiere experience possible
What you need to succeed
- A master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience developing large software applications on Windows and Mac OS
- Good understanding of video editing
- Ability to lead a team using agile methodologies and practices
- A high-level understanding of standard methodologies in software development, experience in C++ and JavaScript a plus
- A commitment to challenging the status quo, continuous improvement, and lifelong learning
- Experience working with complex products and codebases
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $146,300 -- $281,100 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
