Senior Engineering Managers

American Express Travel Related Services seeks Senior Engineering Managers under the supervision of a Director, Engineering, to identify and resolve inefficiencies in the development process. Review requirements specifications for defects, performance, reliability, scalability, testability, usability, and security. Define requirements for new features and build product roadmaps. Monitor and track resolution of defects, coordinating with engineers in order to prevent, report, and resolve the issues. Recommend changes to APIs and system designs in collaboration with architects, tech leads, and developers. Plan process and technology improvement projects and collaborate on execution.

Position Requires a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 2 years of software design, development, testing, and implementation experience. Experience must include a minimum of: 1 year of experience with Agile, algorithms, API, API Rest, BDD, Consul, Couchbase, data structures, distributed systems, Docker, Git, Github, Gradle, Java, JSON, JUnit, Log4j, Maven, multi-threaded programming, object oriented programming, Spock, Spring, Spring MVC, SQL, Swagger, Unix, Vault, Vert.x, and XML. Telecommuting is available up to 3 days per week.

Job Location: Phoenix, AZ

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually
