As an Senior Engineering Product Manager at C.H. Robinson, you will leverage your passion for delivering world class data products to translate business problems into user stories and features that delight our North America Surface Transportation employees and analysts to achieve business objectives. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with software and data engineers, project managers, and other product managers on high visibility projects in an environment that is challenging, rewarding, and promotes creativity, personal development, and fun. You will be responsible for accurately gathering, consolidating, analyzing, and documenting business rules and detailed requirements. Your contribution is considered critical and vital to C.H. Robinson's worldwide logistics operations and its continued growth and success.

Responsibilities:
• Translate business and customer needs into data engineering and software development work for feature requirements in your product domain to deliver business results• Analyze and document identified business process and/or improvement needs given information from multiple stakeholders and data sources• Collaborate with software and data engineers and product managers to create user centered stories that align with our enterprise architecture vision• Understand and identify opportunities for improvement on business processes and technology solutions• Partner with your team to mitigate risks and resolve impediments; identify and escalate risks that could impact project or feature deadlines• Partner with others to create, coordinate and execute on test plans: quality assurance testing (QA), user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect and issue tracking

Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of product management (or closely related) experience conducting strategic quantitative and/or qualitative analysis to inform technology/operations investments/changes in a cross-functional enterprise environment in natively digital e-commerce or marketplace companies.
  • 2+ years of combined technical product management and industry experience
  • Understanding of web or native platform UI component libraries and accessibility standards
  • Experience reading and writing analytical queries using SQL, PowerBI, etc., to support research and analysis
  • Experience shipping large scale, commercial grade software, built as a cloud native application (Or a product that has moved to cloud)
  • 2+ years of experience delivering projects using agile and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree or minimum of 4 years of equivalent work experience and high school diploma/GED


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to Agile and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies
  • Experience writing both long- and short- term product planning reports, including strategic market analysis, product proposals, and financial/business reporting
  • Experience with cloud data warehousing technology such as Snowflake, dbt, Databricks, and Apache Airflow
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Data Lakes
  • Experience working on data & analytics teams; including delivering complex data product solutions to customers.
  • Experience reading and writing analytical queries using SQL, PowerBI, etc., to support research and analysis
  • Knowledge of supply chain logistic industry including global forwarding business and U.S. customs brokerage
