PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Troy 7, Inc. is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Engineer/Scientist - Survivability and Lethality subject matter expert in Missile Defense Lethality and Nuclear Weapons as well as Natural Space and Lightning Survivability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Research and analysis of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) survivability
• Interface with DoD leadership and across MDA
• Interface and articulate with leaders from Other Government Agencies (OGA) including DTRA, AFNWC, NNSA, Army SMDC, DOT&E, NORTHCOM, STRATCOM, Defense Intelligence Agency
• Lead national level development programs to counter hypersonic, cruise missile, ICBM, IRBM and SRBM threats

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (if applicable):

The position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active Secret Clearance
• MS Degree in a STEM program and 12+ years of related experience
• Prior experience serving as a Senior Scientist with experience in Program Management, Advanced Technology, and Engineering leadership for complex weapon systems across the entire life cycle in support of Missile Defense, Directed Energy weapons, nuclear survivability and intercept lethality
• Experience with the Ground Based Interceptor, Next Generation interceptor, Aegis, THAAD, Directed Energy and Long Range Radar missile defense programs
• Experience in non-kinetic methods to defeat missile threats
• Experience in leading IPTs to develop novel and innovative test equipment
• Experience in using multiple computational models to assess both the survivability and lethality of missile defense systems including the effects of nuclear events on interceptors, satellites, and radars SCI - CNWDI, RD, FRD security clearance or ability to be reinstated to one

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be a recognized subject matter expert in Missile Defense Lethality and Nuclear Weapons as well as Natural Space and Lightning Survivability
• Experience briefing command level staff
• PHD in Physics
• Experience in research and computational modeling of nuclear events at command level
