- Handle all environment builds, including design, capacity planning, cluster setup.
- Manage multi-node on-prem Kafka running in a K8s cluster.
- Automation of repetitive tasks and the creation of custom scripts to streamline application support processes.
- Ability to solve technically complex issues.
- Design and implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify system bottlenecks and alert on issues.
- Evaluate systems, application performance issues and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Continuously monitor production environment and its dependencies for health, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with team by documenting and exchanging knowledge.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues.
- Provide 24x7 On-Call Support on a rotational basis.
- Able to work independently and maintain professionalism under pressure.

Open Source, Operational Support, Automation, Troubleshooting
You should definitely have:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 5 years experience in IT with knowledge of IT infrastructure and distribution architecture.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Linux and expertise in supporting and deploying applications on Linux systems.
- A strong understanding of Linux command line tools and utilities for troubleshooting and managing applications.
- Working knowledge of tools to monitor and analyze system resource on Linux system.
- Proficiency in shell scripting.
- Understanding network protocols, configuration, and a good grasp of Linux security concepts.
- Proficiency in analyzing system logs (e.g., syslog) and application logs in identifying and resolving issues or errors within applications.
- Familiarity with package management systems (e.g., rpm,yum).
- Proficiency in Ansible and similar tools, along with a comprehensive understanding of their functionalities and operation, is necessary.
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes (K8s).
- Understanding CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
It would be nice if you had:
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of open-source software stack, specifically Kafka, Kubernetes, ELK, Grafana and Influx DB.
- Experience working with and supporting APIs.
- Software development experience.
