The Role:

We are transforming technology and creating a digital evolution that will empower Centene to better serve our members. As a Senior Enterprise Architect you will be responsible for developing and promoting pragmatic enterprise architecture services that enable business strategies. You will influence the delivery of digital transformation efforts, effectively making trade-offs between long-term strategies and tactical alternatives. This will be accomplished through architecture strategies, blueprints and roadmaps that standardize technology stacks which create engineering speed and agility in delivering technology solutions.

As Senior Enterprise Architect, you will:• Drive the vision and innovation, standards, development processes, systems architecture, and design patterns to support IT and business solutions.

• Build a holistic view of the organization's technology strategy, process and IT roadmap and enable the delivery of business capabilities and technology resources across multiple domains. • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and communicate long term vision and comprehensive strategic plans for infrastructure and/or enterprise architecture solutions • Develop comprehensive strategic reference architectures for infrastructure and/or enterprise Architecture disciplines• Partner with Business and IT leaders to drive business requirements into strategic designs• Serve as the technical expert for enterprise wide or companywide technology and/or application domains• Oversee systems design and architecture through leadership participation in architecture reviews • Drive standards for development and design techniques for infrastructure and/or Enterprise Architecture• Plan and integrate the work activities of virtual IT teams

Additionally you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant design and architecture experience.
• IT experience within managed care environment highly preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of business process as it relates to experience in the field.
• Specialized skills in the use of architecture frameworks, methodologies and patterns through solution delivery. (TOGAF, IT4IT, DevOps, Agile, ITIL)

Technical Skills:

• High degree of technical expertise in foundational architectural principles to build distributed, hybrid and cloud-based systems
• Experience in leveraging Enterprise Architecture tools (e.g., Orbus iServer) for Technology and Portfolio Management
• Awareness of industry standard architectural patterns, technologies, and architecture management processes
• Familiarity with modern development architectures, including Design Systems, Microservices, APIs, Events, Containers, CI/CD, Human Centered Development
• Deep understanding of operational and analytical data platforms, including RDBMS, NoSQL (MongoDB, Neo4J, Cassandra), Data Warehouse platforms (DataBricks, Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse)
