Job Description

Reporting to the WTW ergonomics practice leader, the senior ergonomics consultant will be responsible for providing comprehensive ergonomics solutions and programs to clients in many industries and supporting WTW client service teams. Leveraging data analytics, this senior consultant will construct strategy and execute tactfully with ergonomics solutions on their own and by collaborating with other ergonomics practice and safety team members to impact clients' total cost of risk.

The Role:

  • Responsible for proposing, budgeting, managing, and providing ergonomics services to a vast array of WTW clients
  • Successfully maintain and grow ergonomics engagements with large corporations
  • Develop client specific service plans and scopes of work
  • Manage multiple ergonomics projects simultaneously
  • Work with clients to demonstrate ROI (i.e., increase productivity, improve quality, improve operating cost margin, reduction of claim frequency and severity)
  • Author client specific ergonomics programs
  • Complies with WTW policies for timekeeping, expense reporting, and invoicing
  • Seeks opportunities to continuously develop and expand technical skills through professional associations, web-based trainings, and/or conferences
  • Create and deliver ergonomics sales presentations that generate new and expanded revenue
  • Provide innovative ideas to enhance current ergonomics tools and develop future service offerings
  • Conduct ergonomics task analyses with and without risk quantification tools and provide clients with timely recommendation reports to mitigate risk factors
  • Provide quality assurance of insurance carrier and private consultants' loss control services
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the area of occupational ergonomics for a vast array of clients in industries including: office, industrial, financial, defense contracting, manufacturing, warehouse/distribution, healthcare/life sciences, retail, aerospace, and transportation.
  • Competently train onsite and by web meetings globally to personnel at all levels of an organization including senior management, front line management, and employees
  • Train and mentor other WTW ergonomics consultants.
  • Prepare responses and represent the ergonomics team during requests for proposals
  • Enhance case management programs and physical demands assessments by creating and/or accurately updating functional job descriptions
  • Exhibit competency in leading and presenting on topics such as: office ergonomics, industrial ergonomics, task analyses, 5S, warm-up/stretching, body mechanics, kaizen events, value stream mapping, lean manufacturing/production, and safe patient handling
  • Familiarity with the NIOSH Lift Equation, 3DSSPP, Push/Pull tables, RULA, REBA and/or other risk quantification tools
  • Currently established or willingness to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance
  • Complies with WTW policies for timekeeping, expense reporting, and invoicing
  • Seeks opportunities to continuously develop and expand technical skills through professional associations, web-based trainings, and/or conferences

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor's and Master's degrees in ergonomics-related field highly preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role required and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Professional Ergonomist designation preferred
  • Competency with Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Visio. Familiarity with Smartsheets and with MS Access and Dynamics 365.
  • Ability to travel and work beyond a normally scheduled workweek if needed
  • Travel overnight up to 50%
