Job Summary

As a Senior ETRM (Energy Trading Risk Management) Support Specialist, this role will be crucial in supporting and enhancing the ION RightAngle system used in crude marketing and products operations. This position requires excellent communication skills, a customer service-oriented mindset, and strong system support skills. The Senior ETRM Support Specialist is responsible for the functional analysis or technical development and maintenance of the ION RightAngle system customizations and integrations. The role requires strong leadership and mentoring capabilities and a deep understanding of RightAngle's system data flow, functionality, and technical architecture.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or information systems, or related areas or additional equivalent experience.

Minimum required experience in Oil & Gas Industry and/or Supply Chain Management is:

  • 8 years.

List any specialized training or unique skills required:

  • Extensive understanding and experience (3 to 5+ years) on ETRM engagements.
  • Good customer service, interpersonal communication, and team collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in C#.NET, SQL, and the RightAngle.NET architecture.
  • Experience with developing ETRM product customizations/extensions such as business rules, reports, contract templates, invoice templates, system processes, and understanding of product data model.
  • Understanding of front office to back-office data flow in Rightangle.
  • Capable of testing business scenarios in Rightangle from deal capture to settlement.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail & ability to handle multiple tasks with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while still maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Good understanding of Physical (Oil, NGLs, Refined Products) & Financial commodities.
  • Solid business understanding of trade lifecycle of different asset classes such as crude, refined products, natural gas, NGLs, power, etc.
  • Good understanding of physical and financial instruments - purchase, sale, buy-sell, logistics, blending, inventory, futures, swaps, options, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability in delivering technical solutions involving application development, infrastructure delivery, and system integrations.
  • Ability to create custom modules/reports, entity rules, extensions, and complex pricing provisions.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools for build and release processes
  • Experience with integration of ETRM products with other enterprise systems such as OpenText or Documentum, ICE/CME Exchanges, SAP, Shipping, IMOS Veson, etc.

Job Duties

  1. Providing technical delivery for support and project solutions, including guidance on technical designs, application development, infrastructure, and integration. Managing custom source code in Azure DevOps.
  2. Maintaining and enhancing Rightangle customizations and integrations.Creating and maintaining technical design documents.
  3. Mentoring less experienced team members on Rightangle's technical architecture and customizations.
  4. Working with functional and business teams to ensure technical solutions meet business requirements.
  5. Completing the analysis, development, testing, and implementation of the Rightangle system upgrades, patches, and custom code releases.
