Work Arrangement
On-Site - Position does require an employee to be on-site full-time. On-site work will take place at the Lake Orion plant.
The Role
The Senior Execution Engineer will take ownership of a section of the module build process and deal with all aspects of that that area. Work will start at the equipment builder making sure the equipment is built to GM standards and that it is fully shaken out before it is sent into the site. Once the equipment you will work hand in hand with the install contractors, the OEM, and plant operations to install and validate the production of system. You will lead the organization through qualification and run at rate events culminating in PPAP and handing over production to process ownership to the plant.
You will be a member of results driven team of 30+ engineers working to bring the largest battery manufacturing into production. You will be exposed to all aspect and levels of the company as we push the EV future of GM.

What You'll Do
- Support the runoff activities at the OEM prior to machine shipment. Help with the debug process and ensure that the machines are ready for shipment into the plant
- Support the installation team during the equipment install at the plant. Work with the supplier and installation contractor to ensure that equipment install is completed on time and within budget
- Lead the commission activities of your area. You are part of a larger team, but will own your section of the line. It is your responsibility to ensure that open issues are closed out and that your section of the line has been qualified to run production
- Lead the continuous improvement activities to ensure that the equipment can run at rate and at quality
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- 5+ years of professional experience working in high volume production operations
- 5+ years of professional experience installing and commissioning industrial equipment
- Professional experience working with fully automated production systems
- Professional experience conducting PPAP
- BS in Engineering or Proven job history in the field

- Work with Laser Welders
- Electrical test equipment
- Robotic programing and trouble shooting
- Conveyor design and trouble shooting
- 7 years working in high volume automotive manufacturing
