Senior Executive Administrative Assistant to CEO

Job Description

Embedded in a worldwide network Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America continuously strives to remain at the forefront of successful automotive research and development. MBRDNA is headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, with key areas of Autonomous Driving, Advanced Interaction Design, Digital User Experience, Machine Learning, Customer Research, and Open Innovation. In Farmington Hills, Michigan, the focus is on Powertrain and eDrive technology as well as in Long Beach, where the teams test durability of the latest driver assistant and telematic systems. The Digital Hub in Seattle focusses on developing a cloud architecture and building out the cloud platform for the next generation of connected car services. The Testing and Regulatory Affairs Division in Ann Arbor and the Advanced Vehicle Design in Carlsbad complete the competence center.


Support the CEO by managing their day-to-day activities, travel plans, and supporting administrative tasks. Partnering with the CEO’s Chief of Staff, the Executive Administrative Assistants to the VP’s at MBRDNA, and assistants to executives in Germany to build strong partnerships. Requires strong ability to multi-task, flexibility, discretion and confidentiality. We are looking for a tech-savvy team-player with a can-do attitude and good sense of humor.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day functions for the CEO including scheduling, travel arrangements, meeting preparation, email prioritization, communications, executive events, expense reports, etc.
  • Coordinate executive priorities, meetings, and workshops across MBRDNA
  • Help create an inclusive and positive culture across MBRDNA by collaborating with the other Executive Administrative Assistants to identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and to design and execute meaningful employee engagement activities
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and learning in the community of Executive Administrative Assistants at MBRDNA
  • Proactive approach to daily responsibilities and key tasks

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Graphic Design, Psychology or related field
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Solid project coordination, scheduling, resourcing, and administrative skills
  • Ability to see the big picture while effectively managing details
  • Solid analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate with teams across the business
  • Strong knowledge and experience with standard software tools (e.g. MS Office)
  • Valid CA Driver's License

  • Willingness to work outside regular business hours as needed
  • Global experience preferred

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on a wide range of factors, including, but not limited to, job-related education, skills, and experience, geographic location, and market conditions. The current salary range for this position is as follows and may be modified in the future: $101,400 - $126,800.
