Alphawave is setting-up a global finance shared service Centre in India. You would be part of fast-growing finance team supporting the finance team spread across geographies.

What you'll do:

We are and looking to hire suitable candidates for multiple positions in different global process teams – Quote to Cash, Hire to Retire, Record to Report, Procure to Pay and Tangible & Intangible Property. Typical responsibilities will include tasks like:

1. Accounts Payable (AP) Management:

o Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in a timely manner.

o Reconcile AP sub-ledger to the general ledger.

o Handle vendor queries and manage vendor relationships.

o Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

2. Accounts Receivable (AR) Management:

o Process customer invoices and manage collections.

o Reconcile AR sub-ledger with the general ledger.

o Resolve discrepancies and handle customer queries.

o Generate and analyze accounts receivable reports.

3. General Ledger (GL) Accounting:

o Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.

o Prepare and post journal entries.

o Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.

o Support financial reporting and analysis.

4. Payroll Processing:

o Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely salary payments.

o Handle payroll-related queries and adjustments.

o Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies.

5. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

o Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.

o Analyze financial data to support decision-making processes.

o Generate ad-hoc reports as required by management.

6. Compliance and Controls:

o Ensure adherence to internal controls over financial reporting and compliance with financial regulations.

o Assist with internal and external audits.

o Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures.

7. Process Improvement:

o Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation.

o Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.

o Support initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy.

What you'll need:

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is needed.

· Professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) or a master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration will be a strong positive.

· 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within a shared service center environment, a Big 4 or a finance team of a multi-national corporation.

· Strong knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS accounting principles and financial reporting.

· Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Proficiency in Microsoft excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)

· Experience with ERP systems

· Willingness to work between 12pm to 9pm IST (depending on the role)
