Senior Experiential Producer

About this role: 

MATTE is looking for an Experiential Producer to join it’s fast-growing Production department.  The Experiential Producer will be responsible for leading high-end event production on a variety of clients. The producer reports to the Head of Experiential and works closely with Creative Directors and Client Service Directors. The role is responsible for general oversight of MATTE’s experiential production business unit and managing the production team, which includes full-time and contracted staff. The Experiential Producer will be responsible for:

Project Management

Lead aspects of experiential production for each project from green light through to delivery, including:

• Managing creative and technical experiential production that includes but is not limited to: building production plans and schedules; shepherding creative direction; sourcing talent, propping and location; arranging travel; building shot lists and decks; leading pre-pro meetings; attending photo shoots as the on-set producer; and guiding edits.
• Bid, hire, and manage production partners for assigned projects.
• Manage vendor relationships
• Develop and execute project scopes, timelines, budgets, and staffing plans for production projects. 
• Collaboration with creative department directors to conceptualize + execute deliverables across all production and client materials.
• Provide client contact, assisting Business Leadership with managing the relationship and expectations 
• Determine a project’s risk on an ongoing basis and escalate issues as needed
• Monitor out-of-scope requests and initiate additional estimates and approvals
• Be client-facing on production calls, pitches, and anywhere creative representation is needed.
• Source talent, locations, writers, photographers, and contractors as needed for all programs.
• Build, manage, and wrap budgets ranging in scope and complexity.
• Supervise staff through the entirety of the campaign, proactively reviewing, troubleshooting, and escalating potential issues that may adversely impact deadlines and project commitments
• Assess and advise on production and delivery plan, including deliverable requirements.

Quality Control

• Collaborate with the Head of Experiential  to develop thoughtful and impactful, purpose-based creative solutions and ideas for both the department and  for a wide range of clients.
• Work with client specific brand guidelines and bring projects from concept through production
• Create and maintain consistent, high level visuals, standards and specifications.
• Work strategically and in partnership with internal teams to build, maintain, and improve internal and external processes, workflows, systems, and policies
• Coach production staff to maximize performance and ensure project quality.

Staff Oversight & Leadership

• Source, vet, hire and manage production crew.
• Keep all stakeholders apprised on any key changes in production or post that will affect final delivery.
• Direct and motivate teams to help them use their talents effectively.
• Maintain clarity of information and good channels of communication with other teams at the organization to ensure that projects are moving forward effectively and efficiently.
• Maintain a knowledge of, and stay up to date on, latest industry technology, trends and techniques
• Participate in team meetings including status and review meetings with cross-functional creative team. 

What you will bring:

• 6+ years of experience in experiential production
• A deep understanding of production and post-production workflows
• Track record of managing a team, with experience managing employees with different working styles
• Must be able to think fast, problem solve, present solutions and react positively to unexpected issues
• Approachable, collaborative, results-oriented, problem-solver who can both provide and take direction well.
• Has a great network of vendors and industry connections
• Excels at client relationship management and team management
• Strong work ethic and sense of project ownership
• Experience managing $3-5M+ department budgets
