FP&A GROUP
The Financial Planning and Analysis group helps to develop strategic and operations plans for all of the business units (i.e. advisors to the funds) and senior executives. This includes budgets, forecasts, multi-year financial plans, a variety of ad hoc requests, and the maintenance of a management basis P&L.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Participation in the following initiatives:
- Responsible from an FP&A perspective for the firm's global facilities and information technology costs
- Liaise at least monthly with the IT and facilities groups regarding WIP and planned future projects
- Work with the IT and facilities groups periodically to obtain budget / forecast / long term plan information
- Calculate and record depreciation on IT and facilities assets on both a US tax basis of accounting and management reporting basis
- Maintain fixed asset rollforwards on both a US tax basis of accounting and management reporting basis to be published monthly
- Provide documentation to the Corporate Finance team in support of their annual audit as it relates to fixed assets
- Contribute to the development of the organization's long-term multi-year strategic plan; incorporating real-time and planned changes to the IT and facilities portions of the firm P&L
- Assist with ad hoc projects for the FP&A team
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-4 years of experience in an accounting (public or private)
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects with the highest attention to detail
- Creative problem solving ability and sound judgment - ability to use own initiative and take responsibility for decisions
- Strong interpersonal skills with capacity to interact with all levels
- Capable of working fairly independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong excel skills
- Team player
DESIRED EDUCATION
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
