Senior Finance Manager

THE ROLEAs our Sr. Finance Manager, you are the go-to person with respect to financial planning, accounting, as well as overall business metrics at Solsten. By working closely with the leadership team, you will steer and empower strategic decision-making across the company backed by financial insights.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Drive and develop the financial planning of the company with input from team leads and senior management.
- Own and continuously optimize our financial and operating model based on the company's strategy and development.
- Support investor relations with financial insights and metrics across the business.
- Analyze the financial performance and prepare monthly financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders while continuously ensuring reporting validity.
- Contribute to the overall business strategy by working closely with our founders and Head of Corporate Development.
- Provide decision-making analytics and participate in business-facing projects such as product, go-to-market and strategic decision making.
- Make recommendations on allocations of resources or business cases to the management team and directors.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders to ensure optimal business processes such as accounting.
- Steering of international tax authorities in close cooperation with tax consulting firms and corresponding structuring of the operative business in coordination with the founders.
- Support contract negotiations from a legal and financial perspective, with the support of external lawyers.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) in Business, Finance or a similar field.
- You bring 5+ years of experience working in finance as well as building up financial operations in startups or similar environments.
- You are highly analytic and you can solve complex problems as well as deal with uncertainty.
- You are a strategic thinker as well as problem solver and can diligently combine and translate this into concrete action items from an organizational, processual, and data driven perspective to ensure further business success and scalability.
- Highly effective at identifying internal stakeholders and communicating to them in a timely, clear, and concise manner, including the CEO and COO.
- You have strong experience in global accounting frameworks (e.g. GAAP).
- You are a self-motivated team player and ability to work in fast-paced environments with minimal oversight.
- You always put people first and you build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- You are quick at building trusting and collaborative relationships with your emotional intelligence and love for helping others and for creating outstanding services
- You treat everybody on the team like adults instead of overloading them with policies and always have a feel for what is appropriate in terms of input and guidelines.
- You listen well. You create alignment by default and can drive hard decisions when needed. You push the pace. People love working with you.

Our team is spread out across the world, with hubs in Berlin, Helsinki, New York, and Minneapolis. We believe that having our team close to one another fosters better communication and productivity. This role requires you to be based in Minneapolis, MN where you will have an exciting and flexible hybrid working environment. This means that you will have the opportunity to work both remotely and with colleagues in the office, allowing you to create an ideal working schedule and balance.
