Job Description

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring a Senior Finance Manager role. This role will support both of Catalent's BioAnalytics sites, located in Kansas City, MO and Morrisville, NC. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records and providing financial support to the Business Unit leadership team, site General Managers, Regional Finance Director and Department Directors. In a fast-paced business environment, the incumbent will work with the leaders of the business to grow revenue and EBITDA, report actual financial results and forecasts, create budgets and analyze data for trends, issues and opportunities. Responsible for the monthly booking of Revenue, COGS and performance reporting

This is a full-time role position: Monday - Friday, Days.

Catalent's Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses. The site provides a range of integrated services for oral solid dosage forms, from formulation development and analytical testing to clinical and commercial-scale manufacture. The Kansas City facility is a Center-of-Excellence for our Biologics Analytical Services business. The Role

  • Lead monthly accounting, forecast & reporting processes to ensure that Corporate, Business Unit, and Site timelines and objectives are met.
  • Prepare Management presentation material for monthly forecast, & OpMech meetings and QBRs
  • Perform monthly variance review of P&L results
  • Proactively identify, analyze and present financial reporting and analysis in an accurate and timely manner to Site and Functional leaders.
  • Provide cost and variance analysis that is useful and actionable to senior leadership team in their decision making processes. Contribute to weekly Revenue Forecast process with Business Units.
  • Lead annual Site and Functional Budget process including development/analysis of budget targets, developing, communicating and driving the budget timeline, creating budget templates, creating/maintaining budget roll-up files, preparing budget deliverables for Site Management and BU Leadership Team.
  • Assist the General Manager and the Regional Finance Director in establishing metrics, performing budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial/operational analysis related to fixed asset purchases, base cost management, working capital management, headcount control, and operational performance. Revenue Recognition
  • Provide guidance and financial analysis support to the Regional Finance Director and VP of Finance when quoting new projects
  • Participate in revenue recognition substantiation by documenting the policy and working with Operations and PM to annually evaluate the policy for appropriateness. Own and update the site policy as necessary. Support internal and external audit reviews. Record all revenue and COGS accruals necessary; analyze actuals to forecast on a by project basis.
  • All other duties as assigned;

The Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years progressive experience in the Finance/Accounting field, and 3 years of supervisory experience or equivalent cross functional project leadership required.
  • Experience with financial system implementation & restructuring processes highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial systems and Revenue Recognition preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing cost accounting
  • Experience with Financial Software systems (JD Edwards), HFM, Changepoint pivot tables and large databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with internal and external customers, peers and managers.
  • Well organized with ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.
  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds;
