Senior Finance Manager

As the Senior Finance Manager at Ozow, you will lead and own the accounting function within the department. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategic financial initiatives, driving operational excellence, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You will work closely with senior management to provide strategic financial advice and support the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Financial Leadership:
• Develop and implement strategic financial plans and initiatives aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
• Provide strategic financial advice and support to senior management.
• Conduct financial analysis and modelling to assess the financial impact of strategic decisions.
• Financial Oversight and Management:
• Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including financial reporting and audits.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Team Management and Development:
• Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and training.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the finance team.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Risk Management:
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to protect the company's assets and reputation.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies and controls.
• Financial Analysis and Reporting:
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior finance role, with at least 5 years of experience in a managerial position.
• Proven track record of leading and managing finance teams.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Experience in the financial services or fintech industry is a plus.
