Senior Finance Manager, FP&A - Hybrid

As a Senior Finance Manager, you will report to the Finance Director and be primarily responsible for supporting the Microbiology Business Group. You will be a leadership team member of our Kiestra business and will provide key support to our ID/AST business. This hybrid role may report to either the BD Sparks, MD or Franklin Lakes, NJ office 3 days a week.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Prepare financial models and provide financial support and analysis.
• Participate as core team member on all GPDS projects including attending regular meetings, preparing/reviewing financial analyses, providing advice and support to core team leaders and team members, and being involved in the decision-making process.
• Prepare and assist in budget and projections analysis, and the annual, global strategic review with a detailed focus on the US; analyze and forecast revenue through standard gross profit as well as Global Microbiology marketing investments.
• Assist US Kiestra Commercial Team on structuring instrument and pull-through pricing deals which meet or exceed business profitability targets.
• Assist with month-end close activities
• Participate in the US SIOP process as the Business Platform's finance representative; attend demand consensus and supply review meetings to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and financial projections.
• Provide financial and business support to platform initiatives such as acquisitions, divestitures, business alliances, special projects, etc.

About you: To be successful in this role, you require:

• Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; MBA/CPA or working toward qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years' relevant work experience in financial planning, business analytics, Controller, or related roles.
• Proven analytical skills including a solid understanding of valuation metrics such as IRR, MIRR, net present value, terminal value, payback period, return on invested capital, etc.
• Proficiency in financial modeling while providing financial support and analysis.
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint; working knowledge of SAP, Business Intelligence, HFM & BPC are a plus.
• Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment applying time and project management skills to drive prioritization of deliverables in a global environment.
• Ability to occasionally travel both domestically and internationally; the estimated travel commitment is 10-20%.
