The Role

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Senior Finance Manager, Shared Services. Responsible for managing the General Accounting team and supporting activities involved in the financial accounting and monthly close process. The candidate will be a member of the North America Shared Services Center. The position can be located in Rochester, NY, San Diego, CA, Raritan, NJ, Waltham, MA, or Athens, OH.

The Responsibilities

  • Manage general accounting (including lessee accounting) and intercompany activities, including the review of journal entries, account reconciliations and timely monthly close activities. NA Primary with secondary regional support.
  • Preparation and distribution of monthly global and regional close calendars.
  • Supervise Shared Services General Accounting staff.
  • Lead monthly close, including the following significant areas: Global FX analysis, FX revaluation for US and Canada, Intercompany Loans accounting, and Global Insurance accounting and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with Ortho policies and procedures. Follow ATR internal controls, audit support as needed.
  • Responsible for US Cash forecasting and analysis.
  • Other - US Branch accounting support, Wells Fargo accounting support.
  • OneStream Account Reconciliation Administration/Maintenance.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting.
  • Accounting Certification Preferred (CPA, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management.
  • Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage across multiple organizations, processes and initiatives.
  • Experience working in a Shared Service Center is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP Reporting Principles.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a manager role.
  • Knowledge of SAP.

Internal Partners: US Controllers organization, regional Controllership team, Shared Service Finance group, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit.

Salary Transparency

Salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including: education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on that facts and circumstances of each case. Salary range for this position is $99,000 to $198,000 and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time) and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
