Senior Finance Systems Administrator

The Senior Finance Systems Administrator should possess expertise in finance-related systems administration, including a strong understanding of SOX controls. They should be knowledgeable about accounting principles, including debits, credits, and general ledger systems configurations. Additionally, experience in implementing large accounting software such as Oracle or SAP is preferred. The candidate should also be adept at configuring new IDs, handling reporting tasks, and serving as a liaison between the business and technology departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee finance-related systems implementation and administration, ensuring adherence to SOX IT General Controls.
• Apply expertise in accounting principles and general ledger systems configurations.
• Implement large accounting software like Oracle or SAP to enhance financial operations.
• Manager user access and oversee reporting tasks for efficient financial management.
• Serve as a liaison between business and technology teams.
• Lead initiatives to establish scalable finance technology systems.
• Identify and optimize operational efficiency in accounting and finance functions.
• Collaborate with finance leadership to define and achieve key objectives and results.
• Ensure SOX compliance of core finance applications.
• Provide expertise in finance technology to support finance teams and stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of hands-on work experience with ERP systems.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, IT, or related field.
• Extensive experience with Financial and ERP systems management.
• Proficient in customizing record types, fields, forms, roles and permissions, page layouts, searches and reports, and financial system data models.
• Basic understanding of ERP financial objects and workflows.
• Experience with associated financial applications such as Paylocity, Expensify, Concur, Avalara, and Salesforce.
• Proven track record in overseeing ERP integration, implementation, and testing.
• Ability to create configurations and customizations of financial systems to align with business needs.
• Skilled in providing ongoing systems and technical support for financial systems.
• Familiarity with financial dashboards and ability to provide users with relevant reports and important metrics.
• Solid understanding of billing, accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), general ledger, financial planning, audit, and reporting processes.
• Familiarity with process areas including record to report, procure to pay, and order to cash.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables; experience with advanced data analysis formulas is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organization skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with keen attention to detail.
