Senior Finance Transformation Analyst - Quote to Cash

About the Role
Morningstar is looking for a Senior Finance Transformation Analyst, GPO QTC, to join our Finance Global Process Owner team, which is focused on business partnership, innovation, automation, and process improvement. As the Senior Analyst, GPO QTC, you will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of the vision, mission, governance, and functional strategy for Morningstar's global QTC process. The role reports to the Senior Manager, GPO QTC and will provide value to the business by supporting and executing key QTC process optimization and transformation programs. The role requires the use of analytical skills to support the business in finding and capitalizing on opportunities and partnering with the corporate systems team to drive the effective and efficient performance of the QTC process. This is a full-time position and can be based in a Morningstar office in the U.S., Canada, or Europe.
Job Responsibilities

• Acts as a subject matter expert in Finance for quote to cash processes and the underlying technology solutions supporting them.
• Support the strategy execution for the global QTC process, including associated governance, accounting, policies, procedures, internal controls, and technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze, define, and document business processes within cross functional areas to identify opportunities for global standardization, simplification, automation, and optimization.
• Lead and manage the execution of GPO QTC process optimization initiatives and other key QTC projects assigned.
• Participate in QTC governance meetings and Corporate Systems prioritization meetings.
• Lead the assessment of Corporate Systems tickets with relation to enhancements and bug fixes, document business requirements and translate to technical requirements.
• Deliver on objectives and key results, operational goals, and finance QTC transformation roadmap.
• Assist in establishing and monitoring metrics.
• Stay abreast of current accounting, business process trends, and leading practices occurring in the industry to inform strategic direction and process enhancement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of progressive experience in the Accounting/Finance function for a multinational organization, including experience with Shared Service Centres.
• A bachelor`s degree or equivalent in Finance/Accounting or similar is required.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP Revenue Recognition accounting is required.
• Proven ability in leading Process Optimisation/Improvement initiatives in a global and complex organisation.
• In-depth understanding of systems used within the QTC process, such as Salesforce (CRM), Oracle (ERP), Host to Host banking applications and DNBi (Collections).
• Adept at managing all phases of quote to cash projects including coordinating internal resources, developing project scope and plans, testing, controls assessment and change management.
• Proficient in documenting business process maps and writing detailed business requirements and standard operating procedures.
• Forward thinking attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate cross functionally and the ability to operate through influence rather than through authority.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, capacity to understand complex issues and demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Critical thinking and proven ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
• Strong skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word).
• Experience in various Project Management and Process Improvement Frameworks (Traditional/Waterfall, Agile, LEAN) and Project Management Tools (Asana, Jira).
• Knowledge of RPA application and/or AI technologies within the QTC process desirable.
