Senior Financial Accountant

As Service Express has been growing, so have our teams to support our global expansion! As such, we are looking to add a Senior Financial Accountant to support our general ledger closing cycle, fixed asset and inventory control management, financial statement preparation and reporting, and projects requiring technical accounting expertise. 

To be successful in this role, you must ensure a high level of integrity is maintained within the general ledger and financial statements.

Here’s what this position is all about: 

• Perform journal entries as required for month-end and maintain supporting schedules
• Own assigned month-end close tasks and maintain audit-ready documentation
• Perform high volume account reconciliation, variance, and flux analysis
• Research accounting guidance and prepare accounting memos for emerging accounting issues/policies; provide training to team members on these policies and standards
• Support external auditors in planning and reviewing year-end and interim audit requirements to ensure consolidated financial statements are in accordance with US GAAP
• Complete tax initiatives including property tax, new office openings, sales and use tax, VAT maintenance and filings (domestic and international)
• Take the lead on integrating accounting aspects for newly acquired companies
• Work with new domestic and international finance teams to facilitate systems integration and alignment of accounting policies and procedures
• Evaluate alternatives and recommend process improvements based on business needs and financial analyses
• Embrace a culture of continuous improvement, developing strategies to maximize efficiencies and unlock capacity
• Support root cause analysis and issue resolution with the team, providing proposed solution to manager or controller as needed

What we are hoping you can bring to the Service Express team...

• Successful senior-level corporate accounting or public accounting experience
• Bachelors degree in accounting required; Masters degree and CPA or CMA preferred
• Proficiency in Excel
