POSITION SUMMARY

Affordability Governance and Execution team is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Advisor for the Enterprise Affordability Scoring team. This individual will be responsible for working closely with the business teams, business analysts of respective areas, and the leadership across Affordability operating ecosystem to execute robust valuation of enterprise affordability initiatives. Strong analytic skills, financial diligence, and subject matter expertise with strong communication skills is a must to drive data driven prioritization of affordability efforts on consistent basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support development and execution of operational process to enable robust, consistent, and effective valuation of affordability initiatives.
  • Support business teams in building comprehensive business cases and enable data driven affordability strategies.
  • Working closely with business partners, present analytic assumptions and financial recommendations to TCC office for prioritization.
  • Enable robust monitoring of initiatives' performance through close partnership with business analysts to build Key Performance Indicators.
  • Become subject matter expert of key solutions managed and enable advancing integrity of business cases.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously while managing and supporting various stakeholders including but not limited to Finance, Actuarial, Analytic Platform, BI, Data Science, Clinical, and Solutions for both development and adoption of related processes, metrics, and tools.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires strong healthcare and insurance content knowledge, healthcare analytics/data science/actuarial experience, and proven leadership in both as a team lead and cross functional capacity.

  • ASA and/or advanced degree preferred (or equivalent experience) ideally in Statistics, Medical Economics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Finance, Economics, or Business Analytics.
  • 3+ years' experience in insurance preferably in analytics or finance or actuarial functions leveraging data analytics to directly drive business decisions.
  • 3+ years' of direct experience specifically in finance, actuarial, underwriting, and/or contract underwriting.
  • Internal working knowledge and experience in healthcare products, networks, clinical programs, contracting, clinical policies, and operations through pricing, advanced analytics, medical economics, or related functions.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and leadership skills to work with various matrix partners.
  • Go Getter who enjoys problem solving and working with various business stakeholders.
  • Inquisitive learner who is a strong team player and enjoys the challenge of stretching beyond their comfort zone.
