Job Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst for the Surescripts corporate FP&A team is responsible for leading key projects and collaborating cross functionally with product, sales and strategy. The Senior Financial Analyst will own the financial modeling for key growth products and segments. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will partner across the Company to create and measure against short and long-term financial projections, act in a financial and operational support capacity to other functions to drive sound business decision-making, drive operating efficiencies, and review/monitor/evaluate revenue and expenses for profit improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Budgeting / Forecasting / Planning - Manages budgeting / forecasting and long-term planning processes, identifying risks and opportunities & ensuring alignment with strategy
- Financial Reporting - Develops management reporting for Executive Management / Board of Directors / internal stakeholders, operationalize product profitability reporting, etc.
- Performance Measurement - Evaluates financial performance, including but not limited to, creating key performance indicators, budget vs. actual flux, financial statement analysis, trends / drivers, and benchmarking
- Investment Decision Support - Partners with key stakeholders to create/validate Capital Budgeting analyses (NPV, ROI, IRR), product/company valuations, and perform M&A due diligence
- Financial Systems - Automates and contributes to the innovation of key processes. Executes implementation solutions that conform to best practices.
- Ad Hoc Analyses - Provide senior level of financial expertise and analysis on key projects, customer & network level evaluation, contract / proposal review, and partner cross-functionally to implement
- Pricing - Validate / review pricing proposals for new/existing products
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or related field with 5 years of experience (if candidate has a Master's degree, 3+ years relevant finance experience)
- 2+ years' experience developing sophisticated financial and operational models
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Significant financial statement modeling experience
- Experience with importing, organizing, and evaluating large data sets from disparate sources
- Track record of identifying inefficiencies, process improvement, and driving best practices
- Experience with corporate budgeting (ERP) software
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA in Finance
- CPA/CFA
- Healthcare IT experience
- GAAP experience for the technology industry
