POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the Director of Finance and is a key partner with the Business Unit and Management teams to provide critical analytical analysis, process oversight, and reporting. You will be a key member of the cross functional team and you will apply your financial and business acumen to drive profitable growth initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for assigned areas within the annual budget process cycle.
2. Prepare analytical reports and utilize various analytical skills and procedures to assist with the understanding and validation of financial statements and disclosures.
3. Deliver timely and accurate financial analysis on a broad range of complex business issues and key performance indicators.
4. Provide financial KPIs and analysis on actual results, operational processes, and financial planning.
5. Evaluate spend patterns versus historical norms, forecasted plans, and competitive benchmarks to recommend sound business decisions and opportunities.
6. Special Projects: Lead and participate in special projects related to financial reporting, process improvement, and system enhancements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects to completion, ensuring objectives are met within timelines and budgets.
7. Identify compliance and risk management requirements for supported area.
8. Coordinate with accounting and business unit leadership to ensure all related expenses are being billed and accounted for correctly.
9. Present financial information to a non-financial audience.
10. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling.
11. Attend required company and department meetings.
12. Act in accordance with Marco policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.
13. Perform other related duties as assigned by direct manager or supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Certified Public Accountant license preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 1. Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy and MS Office applications.
- 2. Strong internal and external customer service and communication skills.
- 3. Enthusiastic, dedicated to the challenge of helping other people.
- 4. Demonstrates attention to detail.
- 5. Strong ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion regarding confidential matters.
- 6. Self-starter with the ability to perform with little or no direct supervision.
- 7. Excellent organizational and time/task management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work within a defined timeline and to operate with changing priorities.
- 8. Function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, client orientated team.
