THE POSITION

Provide financial guidance to local Management regarding Freight cost, Handling cost and Distribution Fixed cost. Suggest financial and cost control actions. Provide cost transparency to Senior management including financial results and KPI's. Provide support to Business Leaders in Passenger Tires, Truck Tires, Specialty Tires and other Tire segments in the US and Canada.
• Perform monthly closing activities with a focus on comparing the financial plan to actual results and identifying & explaining variances• Prepare the annual planning and monthly forecasting process with regards to content, process and timing. Analyses budget and forecast data to ensure integrity and plausibility of all included alternatives• Monitor cost center results against the forecast and budget by highlighting trends, analyzing causes of unexpected variances, and working with other finance areas to mitigate variances going forward• Calculate freight and handling cost standards for the US and Canada Market. Develop or improves methods of calculating and controlling costs• Ensure the appropriate logistics cost allocations to the different businesses and locations• Prepare and participate in the monthly cost logistics review with regional management• Ensure that all logistics financial operations are performed in compliance with relevant corporate rules and accounting standards• Ensures an accurate coding of invoices related to Freight, Handling, Distribution Fixed cost, and Duty for the US and Canada market operations for all businesses• Lead and participate in various projects and other activities

Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Relevant Bachelor's degree• 5+ years of related financial professional experience• Excel expert • Advanced knowledge of SAP and proprietary modules, such as FIRE and KOMPAS• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We can only sponsor current internal Continental employees for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 7+ years Controlling and/or Finance experience• Plant Controlling experience • SAP - TMS knowledge• SAP BW - Bex analyzer• Project Management experience
