Eaton's Electrical Power Systems division is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Waukesha, WI Badger Drive facility.

For the commercial, utility, mining, industrial, manufacturing and renewable energy markets, we offer a complete portfolio of products and services that help customers transform, protect, connect and build our electric power system backbone - from power delivery, automation and control, metering and demand response solutions designed to increase efficiency and smart operations. The Power Systems business serves customers in the commercial, utility, mining, industrial and manufacturing, renewable energy and other markets.

Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst will support one of two groups, the Power Delivery and Reliability Division (PDRD) or Power Reliability Division (PRD) and the overall Power Systems Division. Reporting to the Manager of FP&A for Power Systems, the Senior Financial Analyst works collaboratively with finance and accounting resources throughout our locations in the US, Canada and Mexico in supporting monthly reporting, analysis and forecasting cycles, as well as annual profit and strategic planning. This role offers great visibility for a high-potential analyst seeking their next challenge to accelerate learning and professional growth and is a key development step on a career path towards a future plant controller or other financial leadership role. Essential Functions:
  • Support the monthly closing and forecast process. Analyze commercial and operational financial data, investigate and explain variances, identify business drivers and evaluate their impact on planned objectives. Document insightful variance analysis commentary for management.
  • Consolidation of monthly actual and forecast results. Complete division level reporting and support product line reporting.
  • Partner with functional VP's and HQ department owners in forecasting, financial reporting and analysis, and annual development of detailed departmental budgets of ~$35M in spend .
  • Assist in development of the annual profit plan for the business including P&L, balance sheet, cost savings, capital spending and headcount. Take the lead on several aspects of building the profit plan and coordinate requirements with key players.
  • Support/lead process improvement projects. Work in a team environment with other financial colleagues to streamline and drive improvement in financial processes through education, tools/systems, automation and standardization.
  • Prepare, analyze and communicate insightful analysis for monthly reviews. Coordinate with shared services group to organize and deliver appropriate management reports to the business' leadership team
  • Coordinate the annual standard cost roll process, develop guidance, communicate and drive consistency and financial policy compliance
  • Ad hoc products, analysis and report as determined by current business needs.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, and/or Finance from accredited institution
  • Minimum two (2) years of accounting and/or finance experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of Waukesha, WI will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and or performance reporting
  • Experience in a plant/manufacturing environment
  • CPA and/or CMA
  • Cost accounting experience

Position Success Criteria:
  • Ability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operations analyses/reports.
  • Intermediate to expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office
  • Learning agility to new IT systems and tools
  • Strong systems skills/experience desired: SAP Financials, HFM
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
