This position is remote (along with all of our BenchPrep positions).

About the role: 

As the Senior Financial  Analyst, you’ll have the primary responsibility of owning the three-statement financial model and annual Budget governing our short- and long-term operating plan and helping ensure the company executes to that plan.

You will join a small team that operates individually and collaboratively to achieve team and company goals. In this role, you will make significant contributions to shaping the company’s operating plan on both short- and long-term horizons by strategically influencing revenue and expense projections. This role offers broad cross-functional exposure as you work closely with other Finance team members, Executive Leadership, and Department heads to drive forecasting and operational decision making, track execution of strategic and financial plans, and ensure effective representation of our progress to both internal and external parties (including the Board of Directors).

The key components of the work you’ll be doing in this role are: 

• Revenue and Expense Forecasting: Own and operate the company’s three-statement financial model, participating in monthly close processes to ensure alignment of our sales forecast with GAAP revenue recognition. Support planning and department expense reviews across the organization.
• Reporting and KPIs: Draft regular reporting and KPIs against our strategic plan, leveraging insights found in points of variance and key metrics to identify business trends and opportunities for department and company-wide discussion.
• Annual Planning: Meaningfully participate in the company’s annual strategic planning and Budget cycle, working with the Leadership Team to build and drive tight alignment between our strategic objectives and a sound financial plan. 
• Investor Relations: Significantly contribute to building quarterly Board presentations, and lead monthly reporting to our investors and other partners.
• Financial Analysis: Contribute to corporate finance and operational finance activities including conducting financial analyses on deal economics, capacity planning, customer profitability, and cash management.

**Skills and experiences we value:

• 2-5 years of analyst experience in Commercial/Corporate Finance or Investment Banking, preferably with a focus on technology or SaaS
• Excel power user and proficient in all other MS Office applications. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
• Experience modeling P&L statements, with a strong understanding of Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement accounting (direct BS & CF modeling experience is a plus) 
• Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities 
• Ability to present data using reports and charts. Experience building Powerpoint decks is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical finance concepts to a non-technical audience and at the Executive and Board levels
• Growth mindset with an eye for detail and desire to understand the underlying business
• Able to take ownership of work and solve complex problems individually or in team environments
• Experience with technical accounting and/or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus
• Exemplify a positive-leaning attitude and demeanor; show a consistent willingness to work hard; unique sense of humor welcomed
