As a Senior FP&A Analyst at Cision, you will play a key role in driving financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities for the Go-to-Market function. This role is instrumental in supporting strategic decision-making for our sales, marketing, and customer success functions. You will collaborate with various departments to provide insightful financial information and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset, a proven track record in automating financial reporting processes and a keen understanding of financial principles.

Responsibilities

  • Data Integration and Analysis: 
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain automated financial models and dashboards for key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Integrate financial data from various sources into automated reporting systems.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Dashboard Development:
  • Create dynamic and visually appealing dashboards that provide actionable insights for executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and customize dashboards accordingly.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Streamline existing financial reporting processes through automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices for data visualization and reporting within the FP&A team.
  • Headcount Planning and Modeling:
  • Collaborate with go-to-market leadership to develop and maintain headcount models aligned with business strategies.
  • Analyze historical data and industry benchmarks to inform realistic and data-driven headcount projections.

Desired Background/Experience

  • Prior experience working in FP&A, corporate finance, or a finance leadership development program
  • Experience utilizing a diverse suite of financial and CRM systems, with exposure to BI tools (Power BI, SAS, Tableau); VBA, SQL experience is a plus
  • Humble and hungry self-starter with a strong desire to learn, drive improvements, and evolve
  • Global / strategic thinker with high attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to translate data to business insights that drive decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; experience creating stories in PowerPoint a plus
  • Must be results driven and capable of handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Seeking 3-5+ years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A, market analysis, or data-driven roles with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Highly efficient with Microsoft Office suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
