Senior Financial Analyst

Position Overview

Seeking a Financial Analyst facility to join as a key partner to our entire FP&A organization.  This is an exciting role to join a fast-growing, innovative medical device company in a rapidly evolving environment. A successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles analyzing data to transform it into actionable business information.  This role requires a self-starter with strong excel and modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

 Essential Job Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and distribute regular reporting for revenue and expenses. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of the data. Partner with the business as needed in development of new reports to drive decision making across the organization.
• Support the development of the quarterly, annual and long-range planning forecasts and perform actuals vs budget variance analysis. Provide insightful summaries and business recommendations to improve expense leverage.
• Partner with Accounting and the Business to ensure monthly expense data is complete by validating purchase requisitions, headcount data and accruals are reflective of expenses incurred in the period.
• Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, automate and scale forecasting and reporting tools, processes, and methodologies.
• Gain a thorough understanding of the business segments, product, and KPIs to provide support and reporting capabilities to the organization.
• Support our Tijuana facility and help drive improvements to the team’s financial acumen
• Perform other ad hoc requests for strategic initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years Finance experience, with strong working knowledge in financial planning, analysis, forecasting, reporting, and modeling preferred, ideally in a high growth company
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
• Experience with ERP systems and financial forecasting and reporting systems a plus
• Experience with Tableau a plus
• Ability to be flexible and deal with ambiguity to deliver results in a dynamic growth company
• Proactive self-starter, who takes initiative and demonstrates a willingness to learn
• Proven experience in challenging status quo and assumptions with an aptitude to inspire change
• Analytical skills, with ability to build and convey business insight
• Excellent communicator and collaborator across multiple departments and all levels of the organization
• Ability to drive continuous improvement of systems and processes
