Senior Financial Analyst

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for financial reporting and analysis for the Thermo King Transport Solutions Americas business. Primary activities include analyzing and reporting monthly actuals, annual forecasts and operating plans, and long range business plans. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong financial analysis, presentation, forecasting, planning, systems and reporting skills, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a solid understanding of business fundamentals. Additionally, this role requires constructive working relationships with business partners at all levels of the organization. The position reports to the FP&A Leader for Americas region. The candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with high visibility, demonstrate robust financial analysis skills, strong work ethic and well-developed communication skills. Among the areas of responsibility will be a focus on all components of Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), which will require strong business partnering with the Quality, Customer Service, and Engineering organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Record to Report organization and North America Plant Controllers to own the completeness and accuracy of our monthly close process and financial reporting for Transport Solutions North America results, with a principal focus on all components of COPQ. Other areas of assistance could include Sales, SG&A, and plant related costs. This includes working with the Quality, Engineering, Customer Services, and Plants to make sure actuals are correct by analyzing results and summarizing through bridges and insightful commentary.
- Efficiently leverage system and reporting capabilities to drive timely COPQ analytics to a deeper level of insights around product components, production months, or specific suppliers driving the quality concerns.
- Present monthly COPQ analytics to the Finance, Quality, Customer Service, and Engineering organizations at a level that will drive visibility to required quality improvement and vendor recovery projects.
- Leverage analytics to assist the Vendor Recovery/Procurement teams in driving wins in the area of supplier vendor recovery.
- Partner with the Quality organization to report COPQ related productivity pipeline in Windchill.
- Develop monthly KPI reporting, and related insights, for the Product Growth Teams around COPQ, overall product financial performance, and accountability to return on significant investments.
- Manage and execute a combination of on site and remote audits of our dealerships regarding compliance with Thermo King Policies and procedures, including our warranty policies and procedures manual.
- Assist in the planning, development and execution of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP).
- Support an environment of continuous process improvement across the North America Finance Team through strong participation in our Value Stream Mapping exercises.
- Provide support for questions on key systems, such as Hyperion Planning, OneStream, and Oracle.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects (e.g. CER) as requested.
- Assist with rolling up TK NA forecast/actuals for reporting for MOR
- Support Acquisitions/Divestitures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent required, MBA or CMA is a plus
- 5+ years of finance analyst/accounting experience, preferred.
- Strong passion for detailed analytics to drive insights to drive leadership decisions
- Experience with financial reporting cycles, such as forecasts, budgets (AOP), and business planning (LRP)
- Advanced Excel Skills. Knowledgeable in MS Office, OneStream, Tableau

- Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to influence others
- Advanced Proficiency of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Live Meeting
- Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, and Oracle BI. Tableau is a plus.

Base Pay Range: $73,500 - $151,000
