What we need:
This position supports central finance and accounting activities in for the Flooring North America division, with a focus on supporting business unit goals and objectives by assisting with the development of strategic & operational business plans. This role also works with financial management on the budgetary target-setting process, assists in the preparation of a consolidated financial budget and forecast create executive reporting and financial presentations, and prepares all-inclusive analyses showing industry growth and competitive analysis trends.
This role will focus on driving business excellence through analysis of a variety of financial issues, including using the appropriate analytical methodologies, developing and presenting alternatives, summarizing results, and helping to develop recommendations to assist in managerial decision-making.
What you'll do:
- Support business unit goals and objectives by assisting with the development of strategic and operational business plans, and the administration of sound financial and sales planning policies, procedures, and processes
- Provide analysis on a variety of financial issues and business opportunities. This includes determining the appropriate analytical methodologies, developing and presenting alternatives solutions, summarizing results, and making recommendations to assist in managerial decision-making
- Help maintain an effective system for analyzing operating performance against planned goals and objectives
- Drive the business forward through automation and the creation of improved business processes
- Assist in the identification of critical factors affecting profitability and recommendations for proactive planning for external market and economic changes that have the potential to impact the business
- Provide financial reports to executive leadership to support a large, decentralized, and diverse business
- Create and maintain proper documentation of business processes across all business units
- Work with cross-functional partners to deliver the periodic and annual financial plan
What you have:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline; a master's degree is a plus
- 2+ years of job-specific work experience including the development of financial models and a basic understanding of operating and capital budgeting processes
- Financial systems experience with platforms such as SAP and Hyperion (HFM) preferred
- Strong technical skills in finance, accounting, and business performance analysis and modeling
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new tools
- Knowledge of sales planning and analysis involving the management of complex data requirements
- Project management experience in executing projects through implementation across multiple internal and external reporting and organizational lines
