Senior Financial Analyst at Berkadia

The Opportunity

The Senior Financial Analyst will become an expert on market elements that impact Commercial Real Estate and perform in-depth financial analysis to evaluate Commercial Real Estate assets. The Senior Financial Analyst will assist the Affordable Housing of Berkadia Affordable Tax Credit Solutions with budgeting, financial forecasting, internal and external presentations and ad hoc projects.

Corporate budgeting and forecasting (cash & accrual)
Quarterly finance meeting content development for Board of Managers
Pipeline management, balance sheet exposure analysis and warehouse line usage monitoring
Gather accurate, up-to-date data from available sources including BATCS Pipeline, ProLink, OmniView
Work across various teams to obtain needed information
Provide forecasts using data from Asset Management, Acquisitions, Investor Relations and Finance
Design / create financial reports and presentations for senior management to present as needed
Develop additional internal tracking tools to consistently communicate with BATCS Management progress towards key benchmarks and deliverables for Fund Management, Asset Management and Production
Implement comprehensive systems and tools to track all revenue including both acquisition fees and asset management fees
Develop KPIs and tools to better drive performance in Acquisitions and optimization of investor capital matching to lower tier opportunities
Work with Production and Berkadia Affordable Director of Operations to optimize deal flow between Tax Credit Equity, Mortgage Banking and Investment Sales driving greater round trip conversion ratios
Preview deals for investment committee and present data to SVP, Finance & Operations
Conduct ad hoc Fund & Investor Analyses
Other duties as assigned

What you will need to be successful

Experience in Excel, PowerPoint and general presentation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Independent thinker who can manage multiple projects at any given time
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and decision-making ability
Experience with Power BI and Salesforce preferre
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Three to five years prior experience in a similar position.
