About the position

We’re seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing and understanding the topline results and forecast for Smartbear from both a financial and operational perspective. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst will help develop and maintain a quantitative and qualitative-driven infrastructure to help support the continuing growth of the business. This is a high-impact role that will offer substantial senior leadership exposure and the opportunity to impact strategic decision making in a hyper-growth environment at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the annual Sales Billings, ARR Planning & Forecasting process
• Provide Ad hoc analysis in relation to customer billings and retention analysis
• Partner with Product, Marketing and Sales teams to measure performance trends and identify business opportunities
• Responsible for assisting in the MonthlyQuarterly Close Analysis & Reporting:  including Quarterly Flash (Forecast and Final) and BOD Reporting
• Assist in the preparation of Monthly Management reporting decks
• Partner with the Business Analytics team to standardize Management Reports on Tableau and other reporting systems
• Drive continuous improvement within the FP&A team to streamline processes and improve communication to the business
• Work collaboratively with accounting team to provide support during Close cycles, to ensure alignment of analytics and reporting with budget and forecast elements
• Support strategic decision-making through analysis, with a focus on financial planning and business partnering to distill key financial metrics into actionable insights cross-functionally

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis
• BA/BS in Finance or related field required
• Expert Excel skills; extensive experience building financial models and analyzing large data sets
• Excellent communication skills; ability to distill complex analyses into structured outputs and present to all levels of management
• Effective project and process management skills; highly organized, independent, and self-motivated
• SaaS industry experience is advantageous
• Prior experience with NetSuite, Tableau, Planful a plus
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced, high demand, results oriented environment
