SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

About the Role

The Senior Financial Analyst analyzes and interprets financial and operating data for business planning and operations management. This position is accountable for providing accurately and timely pre-defined financial reports and detailed analysis on business performance. This role is critical for functional departmental objectives to be met such as forecasting accuracy, functional organizational goals, other internal metrics, etc. This role requires close interaction with functional business leaders.

Reports to: VP of FP&A

Pay Classification: Full-Time, Exempt

Responsibilities

• Provides analytical support and review to management to include P&L projections/forecasts, budgeting, and/or account analysis related to specific areas of the business
• Develops financial reports for forecasting, trending, and narrative results analysis for management
• Use and develop best practice models to analyze large amounts of data and share insights
• Develops and distributes standard and ad-hoc monthly reporting
• Support M&A efforts during due diligence and post-deal business integration
• Assists with the development, preparation, and presentation of short- and long-range financial plans
• Assists with complex modeling in various areas of the business as needed

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION

BS/BA degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Business

EXPERIENCE

• 2-5 years of professional experience in Financial or Accounting analyst
• 2-5 years of experience in analytical reporting
• Fluent in Excel including production of pivot tables and data manipulation techniques
• Strong knowledge of planning, sales analytics and customer service processes
• Understanding of reporting and analytics, system integration and data governance
• Experience using Business Intelligence tools

• Good communication skills, able to multi-task, manage shifting priorities and problem solve
• Self-starter with ability to take initiative, seek information, work independently, and deliver completed projects
