Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst will support all planning, forecasting, budgeting, month end close and reporting processes of the Vocera business, recently acquired by Stryker. In addition, this role plays an active part in sales commission calculations as well as finance support for the Operations segment of the business.

What you will do:

• Interact with Divisional Management on Actuals, Budgets, Forecasts and other financial reporting matters.
• Play an active role in improving processes and assist in leading process improvement projects relating to the financial close.
• Center of excellence for reporting, including but not limited to Financial Management packs, Price/Margin /Variance analysis, sales reporting, forecast accuracy reporting, trend analysis, KPI dashboards.
• Timely calculation, validation, and communication of the monthly sales commissions amounts to the payroll department.
• Create ad hoc financial modelling of new sales commission plan structures as requested by management.
• Collaborate with Sales and Sales Ops departments to provide visibility to the commission calculations.
• Create weekly forecast of relevant financial metrics, including but not limited to, Overhead Absorption, Purchase Price Variance, and Gross Inventory. Present this forecast to Global Quality and Operations Finance Leadership team.
• Create month end variance analysis of the Vocera operations P&L compared to recent projections and budget. Present this variance commentary to the Global Quality and Operations Finance Leadership team.
• Complete annual inventory cost setting and interact with relevant partners in accounting and IT to complete cost roll at beginning of each year.
• Oversee all internal controls around inventory and inventory accounting, including but not limited to, inventory cycle counts, accounting estimates used in inventory reserves, and disposal of inventory.

What you need:

• BA/BS in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related field. (MBA or Advanced Degree preferred)
• 2+ years in relevant Finance role
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Power BI, and Hyperion
• Professional Certification (CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred
• Experience with TM1 forecasting preferred
• Experience with SAP ECC preferred
• Experience with Captivate IQ Commission software preferred
