**Salary - $85,000 - $95,000 annually - starting pay depending on experience**
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for leading and reporting on budget issues. The Senior Financial Analyst works closely with the Accounting team and other department heads on forecasting, comprehending analytical data, and tend analysis.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:*
- Participate in the critical review and analysis of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts from various charters and supporting companies as well as monthly operating results.
- Lead financial analysis, budget, and reporting issues for the Accounting Department.
- Assist with budget development, and revenue and expense allocations as part of the strategic financial plan
- Collect, analyze and report accurate and timely data to ensure operational goals are met
- Prepare ad hoc analysis and working on special projects as they arise.
- Manage special financial projects, including, but not limited to, long range forecasting, scenario testing, discounted cash flow modeling, return on investment analyses, cash flow projections and key performance indicator tracking and analytics, trend analyses and operational analyses based on the needs of the business
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Advanced knowledge of financial principles and analytical techniques including experience working with GAAP
- Experience with financial management for non-profit, state entities or public schools, a plus, but not required
- Detail oriented individual with experience leading IT/finance/operational cross-functional projects
- Experience with developing presentations for senior management
- Advanced skills using Excel and Access with experience performing data mining, constructing database tables,
- Strong analytical skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or accounting and a minimum five years of experience working in financial management
- CPA, and/or CFA required
- 5+ years' experience working in financial management
