Senior Financial Analyst

Eaton's Aerospace Group, Fuel Motion Control Division (FMC) is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Los Angeles, CA facility.

Position Overview:

This position provides critical accounting and finance support for the Los Angeles site, ranging from regular monthly and quarterly processes to advanced ad hoc projects. A successful candidate will be eager to implement process improvements and have an eye for continuous improvement. In this role, there will be room for growth to take on more responsibilities as the site finance team evolves.

In this role, you will:

• Build new reporting tools and help adapt processes to assist in the transition from MFGPro/Oracle to SAP.
• Manage department budgets for business partners within the plant, analyzing and commenting on variances.
• Perform monthly journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accurate and reliable financial results.
• Help build the monthly financial forecast and annual profit plan, most notably headcount.
• Lead numerous ad hoc activities to support both financial and cross-functional business partners.
• Find innovative solutions to reduce costs around the plant; expand on reporting to help cross functional partners understand the site's spending patterns.
• Participate in rapid improvement events and other continuous improvement activities to promote efficiency across the site.
• Provide support to the aftermarket team to reduce costs, increase margin, and avoid penalties.
• Train other functions on topics that promote financial understanding around the plant.
• Serve as the accounts payable and goods received not invoice expert, assisting in the transition of processes to a new center of excellence after go-live.
• Partner with the centralized accounts receivable team to resolve disputes, collect aged items, and improve Eaton's cash position.
• Assist in regular audits from EY, internal audit, and SOX, especially with regards to accounts payable.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business from an accredited institution
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in finance and accounting
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office, to include Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates who currently reside within a 50-mile radius of the Los Angeles, CA facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in accounting at a large manufacturing organization
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems
• Advanced Excel Skills (VBA preferred)
• CPA/CMA/MBA
• Proven cross functional engagement or experience
