Job Summary: Under general direction, the Senior Financial Analyst contributes to the overall financial performance of the firm by assisting with financial month/year end closing, financial reporting and review, financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing and interpreting financial results and general ledger account reconciliations. May be a Performance Coach for a Financial Analyst I position and assist in training the Financial Analyst I and II positions.
Responsibilities:
- Collecting and examining operational data for Wipfli LLP and Consolidated Financial Reporting. Reconciling, Preparing Monthly adjusting Journal Entries, Preparing Monthly Accrual Entries.
- Monthly General Ledger Account Reconciliations and Analysis.
- Identifying and Monitoring variances in Revenue and Expense items. Revenue Analysis to Budget/Forecast by Service Line and Market. Detailed Analysis and Explanations for WIP and Accounts Receivable Write Offs.
- Financial Statement and Report development to meet the needs of the Firm and its Partners.
- Reconciling Financial Statements to supporting documentation.
- Accounts Payable Invoice GL Coding Approval.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and examining actual results with plans and forecasts. Detailed analysis of Various Financial Statement Accounts requested by Leadership.
- Assist with Various Year/Quarter end Partnership Calculations.
- Assist with completion of various components of Cash Flow and Balance Sheet Forecasting.
- Support annual Financial Planning and budget process.
- Identify opportunities for performance improvement in the Finance Department.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA a plus
- 7+ years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, or other related fields.
- Proven working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling
- Advanced experience with financial statement analysis
- Advanced financial modeling experience
- Exceptional business acumen and curiosity
- Experience working with ERP systems and databases

- Proven interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills including being comfortable with interacting with firm leadership
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
- Comfort with dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently

Wipfli supports equal pay for equal work and values each candidate's unique experiences and skill sets. The estimated pay range for this position is: $65,000 - $100,000 a year. Compensation within the range is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, individuals' skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business needs and applicable employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
