We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst or Manager to join the finance team assisting with budgeting, forecasts, and monthly close. This position will play a key role in partnering with department heads to develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and prepare accruals for the monthly close process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the finance department with financial planning, reporting, and budgeting.
- Utilize understanding of budgets and forecasts to create high quality variance and trend analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Partner with department heads to manage accruals, such as clinical trials, and understand upcoming changes to the strategy and approved budgets.
- Track projects’ costs against budget, analyze differences to ensure project and departmental budget remain within identified budget limits.
- Liaison with various organizations and partner with functional leads to create plans and forecasts, understanding/evaluating key functional drivers.
- Track purchase requisitions and obligations against approved budgets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 2-5 years of general accounting or finance experience.
- Knowledge of financial systems; Workday Adaptive Planning a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Understanding of US GAAP and financial statements including cash flows.
- Biotech, pharmaceutical, or life science experience a plus.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Keen attention to accuracy and detail while under tight deadlines.
- Highly organized and efficient with the proven ability to handle multiple projects, think creatively, and set priorities.
