Senior Financial Analyst

In Finance, we work hand-in-hand with leaders across the company to ensure smooth, disciplined  execution of business objectives. Our Finance team provides comprehensive financial insight into the business through functional business partnering, forecasting and budgets, and financial analyses. 

You will be a strategic, financial and operational thought partner to the Finance team and most other functions within the organization. This role is centered around participating in cross-functional projects with various teams at quip, and enhancing the Finance function to support quip's continued growth across consumer, B2B businesses and additional business ventures. 

• Act as a business partner to cross-functional teams to provide support in organization-wide decision making through strategic financial analyses. 
• Assist in channel-level business & financial analytics, and performance reporting to leadership on a weekly cadence.
• Support the Finance team in monthly business updates to internal business partners, as well as to external investors and lenders.
• Build and improve on dynamic, detailed, and scalable financial and operational models to support product development and launches, product pricing, and other key company initiatives and decision making.
• Drive continuous improvement and simplification of processes & procedures across the Finance function and within the broader organization.
• Identify and provide recommendations and business cases for cost-saving opportunities across the company.
• Support the team in holding functional teams accountable to budgets through expense management and reporting.
• Assist in preparation of board of director materials.
• Provide support on special, ad-hoc projects in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

REQUIREMENTS 

• 3-5 years of related experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or related Finance role at CPG company.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and a record of exceptional academic achievement.  
• Experience in fast-growing startup companies is a plus
• Organized and independent; able to multitask and prioritize  in a fast-paced environment
• Adaptable and open to wearing multiple hats within a flexible start-up environment
• Exceptional excel skills with analytical ability and curiosity to dive into large, complicated data sets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; you're able to both crunch numbers and discuss your analysis.
