As a Senior Financial Analyst with Momentum, you'll play a key role in our team, collaborating closely with dynamic and talented individuals. You'll contribute to assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership. You will also be responsible for providing project teams with financial guidance and assisting with monthly close processes, in a collaborative, innovative environment and be part of our mission to enable, accelerate, and empower our partners at Momentum companies, allowing them to deliver best-in-class solutions for their customers. To be successful as a Senior Financial Analyst, you should be able to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting/forecasting, and reporting. You should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner. A Day In The Life of this Role at Momentum

As a Senior Financial Analyst on our FP&A team supporting PMG at Momentum, your days will be dynamic and filled with opportunities to contribute to our mission. Here's a glimpse into what your typical day might look like:

• Start your day by reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
• Dedicate time to perform research and analysis as required.
• Track KPIs and prepare financial reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist with budgeting and monthly close processes..
• Engage with your colleagues, and key business stakeholders to understand key business drivers.
• Assist project teams with financial guidance.
• Developing financial projections and building financial models.
• Plan for assessment, development and implementation of financial processes.
• Work closely with our partners at Momentum companies, ensuring compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a Bachelor's degree ideally inFinance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Demonstrates a proven track record of success in financial planning, analysis, and modeling - ideally with experience on Big 4 Accounting.
• Has a demonstrated history of working knowledge of financial strategies.
• Demonstrates strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Has the ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience.
• Displays empathy and flexibility and are easy to get along with. 
• Excels in communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of [financial principles and accounting practices].
• Shows proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and Powerpoint as well as experience with ERP systems and financial planning tools.
• Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Can handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment, navigating ambiguity and remaining agile.

When considering experience for this role, we typically find a great fit with candidates who have a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in the specified field. Additionally, experience in a holding company and/or in a start-up environment is a definite plus.

The base salary range for this position may vary based on location. Actual compensation will be determined by role, level, and location, considering additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. For roles eligible for remote work, the base salary is tailored to the designated work location. In addition to the base salary, candidates may be eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus, determined based on both the company's business performance and individual contributions. The People & Culture team will provide specific details during the hiring process.
