Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join a growing Mythical Accounting & Finance team. As a member of the Mythical FP&A team, you will play a key role in planning and leading coordination cross-functionally to drive efficiency and support rapid growth. Together, the various Accounting & Finance teams partner with leadership to provide insights, information, and guidance to make strategic and operational decisions. 

This is an exciting opportunity for financial professionals that have a proven record of success and are looking for growth in a high technology environment. You will be interacting with Studio and G&A teams for financial planning needs and provide analysis for all levels of management. 

What You’ll Do:

• Work directly with the Senior Manager of FP&A
• Partner with key Studio stakeholders
• Manage Game P&L’s
• Understand key business drivers and become a trusted partner to the team
• Challenge and validate assumptions
• Assist key stakeholders with analysis needed to make operational decisions
• Effectively communicate findings through analysis and reporting (modeling, management reporting, investor reporting, etc.)
• Financial planning
• Help monitor and review costs, escalating and driving efficiencies when possible
• Contribute to the annual operating plan and the forecast process
• Assist P&L management for a portfolio of titles and projets
• Prepare various analysis that drive business insight and actionable next steps
• Highlight financial risks and areas of opportunity through data driven analysis
• Perform variance analysis to monitor performance against plan, escalating concerns when necessary
• Create and review executive materials in a clear and effective manner
• Process improvement
• Drive standardization and automation of the various reporting requirements of the business
• Standardize processes to reduce time spent on reporting, and increase sophistication and capacity for higher level analysis
• Ad hoc analysis

What We’re Looking For:

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, accounting, or another business-related field
• 2-4 years of experience in FP&A (open to consulting and other areas of Finance)
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with peers, subordinates, and executive management.
• Top-notch modeling, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Fluent in Excel
• Experience developing financial metrics, operating cadence, and key FP&A activities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a highly motivated team

The expected base salary range for this role is based on the location where the employee’s work will be performed and is aligned to one of our three compensation pay range tiers. Base pay is just one part of Mythical’s total compensation package, which is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their efforts and contributions. This role is also eligible to participate in Mythical’s Corporate Bonus and Equity Plan.

Pay Ranges by Tier: 

Tier 1: $96,000 - $132,000

Tier 2: $86,000 - $119,000

Tier 3: $77,000 - $106,000

Locations by Tier:

Tier 1 Locations: San Francisco Bay Area - California

Tier 2 Locations: Remainder of California (outside of the SF Bay Area), Washington state, Massachusetts state, New York state

Tier 3 Locations: All other states outside of California, Washington, Massachusetts, and New York.

The base salary for each successful applicant will be dependent on a variety of factors, including work location, education, qualifications, competencies, relevant work experience, business needs, and market demands. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
