Job Overview
We are looking for a Sr Financial Analyst, reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, to join our growing Finance team. Responsibilities include providing support for various aspects of the budgeting and monthly forecasting process, as well as ad hoc analysis and projects. The Analyst provides a wide range of support across the company, offering broad exposure to multiple business areas, and frequent interaction with leadership teams. Must be able to effectively handle a diverse range of duties while exercising initiative and independence.
This is a hybrid work position in our Hudson, NH office, with the ability to work remotely 2-3 days a week and from the office 2-3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of key areas for the forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Manage and coordinate weekly/monthly/quarterly forecasting, validate accuracy and assist FP&A team in creation of analysis and presentations for executive leadership.
- First level review of deliverables including forecasts and budgets prior to delivery to the manager of FP&A.
- Provide insightful context of key operational business metrics, develop margin and COGS analysis, and communicate findings to respective business partners.
- Provide financial analyses as needed for operations, capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Support the maintenance and integrity of the budgeting tool, Adaptive Insights, for all updates/changes needed for actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Design, build, and maintain complex financial and operational models.
- Provide support (including the development of models) for ad hoc analyses to the teams, and recommend appropriate changes based on the outcomes.
- Work closely with other internal business partners to understand key business activities and their impact on forecasts and annual budgets and communicate updates on current performance vs targets in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or similar field required from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5+ years Budgeting/Financial/Accounting experience with a track record of increased responsibilities.
- Prior experience working for a software/SaaS company preferred.
- Strong financial acumen (forecasting, variance analysis, report and analytical analysis of revenue/gross and contribution margin or such financial trends).
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints.
- Strong computer and analytic skills - specifically proficient with all Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) - including financial modelling, integrated ERP systems; familiarity with Workday Adaptive Insights and Sage Intacct is strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with personnel throughout the company including senior business leaders.
