Senior Financial Analyst
Job Description Summary
Owns the organization's accounting activities, including record keeping and reporting. Maintaining records of organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Creating reports on financial performance for internal and external use. Completing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to foreign exchange, cash management, and tax, including preparing the audit work papers for activities. Supporting and assisting accounting staff in the development of their professional skills.
Job Description
- Analyzing current and past financial data and performance
- Preparing reports and projections based on this analysis
- Evaluating current capital expenditures and depreciation, Exploring investment opportunities, and Establishing and evaluating profit plans
- Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement
- Coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts
- Providing financial models and forecasting
- Lead and coordinate Engineering Development and Design estimation with involvement of each function group, provide necessary analysis
- Review actual resource input and cost of each engineer project, to make sure it aligns with the plan.
- In charge of full engineer department resourcing model, provide monthly input to financial forecast
- Maintain engineer project checkbook, review and approve each requisition.
- In charge of Engineer department CAPEX budget and forecast. own the investment business case analysis
- Key member of department budget and forecast team, provide necessary resource cost input. Join monthly forecast review and lead resource discussion
- Monthly month end closing support, provide project and resource relate Journal Entry input.
- Coordinate with HR department to make sure actual head count hiring align with resourcing model.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance plus 5 years professional experience; or Advanced Degree plus 3 years professional experience.
