The Role:
This role is an opportunity for a talented self-starter finance professional to join a leading eCommerce company poised for continued rapid growth after it was recently acquired by a global top tier private equity firm. This position provides a unique and fun environment for a high-performing analytical individual to apply and hone your skills and have immediate impact in a fast-paced, dynamic and entrepreneurial organization.
Reporting directly into the SVP of Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst is a pivotal member of a small but powerful Finance team. You will be the SVP’s right hand person working closely with leadership and will be key in driving all FP&A, budgeting, quantitative and M&A analysis to support the strategic growth objectives of the organization. You should enjoy owning your projects while working independently to deliver thoughtful financial analysis that the executive team can use as the basis for their strategic decision making.
You will also have the opportunity for cross-functional collaboration and interact with business and operational team leads as the finance role provides exposure to all areas of the organization.
In this role, you will also interface with the CEO, President and executive team at StackCommerce, as well as access to key members of the top tier private equity firm that acquired the company, providing you with a tremendous and unparalleled growth opportunity in an exciting environment.
What You'll Do:
- Create, maintain, and support the annual budget and monthly forecast cycles. Will serve as the primary owner of the company financial model alongside the SVP of Finance
- Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly business performance reports (as well as any ad hoc requests requiring thoughtful supporting analysis) to aid the leadership team in management planning and strategic decision making
- Interact with and support the broader organization with regular financial reporting, metrics and analysis, as well as ad-hoc financial and operational analysis and projects, to help meet operational and financial goals
- Help prepare the quarterly board decks and other presentations
- Interface with Executive team and private equity firm on all financial matters
- Assist with M&A deal evaluation analysis
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics; MBA a plus
- 3-7 years work experience in financial planning and analysis. Ideally, has experience in the following areas: Financial Statement modeling, Monthly/Quarterly operational forecasting, Budget preparation, Monthly close – trend analysis, and Financial Reporting
- Exceptional financial modeling/MS Excel/spreadsheet skills a must. Comfortable building, developing and working with complex financial models as you will own the company financial model
- Basic working knowledge of database software and BI visualization tools
- Independent worker and analytical thinker with the ability to conduct research & data analysis to solve complex problems and provide thoughtful yet concise recommendations to the executive team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Must be able to multi-task and work in a challenging fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate an appropriate understanding/working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting
- Dedicated to serving both internal and external customers, including responding to all organizational customer requests promptly and thoroughly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work well in a team environment and to give honest, direct feedback to enhance cross-collaboration
- Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
- Maturity, professionalism, and a high level of discretion are required as this is a highly visible role to the entire organization (as well as investors)
- Prior e-commerce industry experience is preferred
Big pluses:
- Prior investment banking experience
- Prior M&A and deal evaluation modeling experience

Compensation:
Our overall compensation and rewards package includes base pay, bonus or commission, and a variety of benefits. Base pay is determined within a range that allows you the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The anticipated annualized salary range for this role is $96,890 - $138,934 (this range may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions). Your initial base pay will be determined based on several factors, including demonstrated skills, relevant education or training, experience, qualifications, travel requirements, and job location.
