Senior Financial Analyst

You will be a lead analyst in our FP&A department and work closely with the Chief Financial Officer. The intellectually curious and detail-oriented Financial Analyst will support the Finance operation with a focus on accurate budgeting & forecasting, actionable reporting, value additive analysis, and efficient financial modeling. You will develop important relationships with R-Zero’s business leaders, become experts in the Company’s product offerings and corporate strategy, and aid in the design and build out of best-in-class financial processes and solutions. This is a high impact, high visibility position that will have regular interaction with R-Zero’s executive leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of establishing and meeting high performance objectives, implementing new processes and solutions, producing analyses and reports that clearly explain financial data, and working to constantly improve efficiency and accuracy to better the Finance department and its customers.

Essential Functions:

• Own the operating expense planning process, including the annual budget and quarterly re-forecasts
• Support revenue and COGS planning, working closely with the CFO, Accounting and other stakeholders
• Own and improve routine reporting, including weekly dashboards, monthly departmental performance reports, and a consolidated quarterly package
• Support the monthly Accounting close process through analysis and accrual preparation
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to design actionable pipeline reporting and analysis
• Support the production of Board of Directors materials, investor presentations, and other external reporting packages
• Demonstrate strong business acumen while supporting ad-hoc projects based on the needs of the business

Experience Requirements:

• 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience in prior analytical roles (i.e. finance, investment banking, consulting etc.)
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related analytical field is required
• Advanced skills in Excel & PowerPoint; working knowledge of NetSuite and Vena (or similar FP&A software tools) 
• Highly analytical, with strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex financial information into actionable and impactful recommendations
• Strong business acumen with ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and independently partner with key stakeholders to implement solutions
• Effective communicator with ability to communicate with all levels of organization and present to senior management
• Self-starter and team player who can work both independently and collaboratively with others cross-functionally
• Curious and innovative individual with a positive attitude and hands-on mentality
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment; ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
• Related industry experience in e-commerce or retail is preferred
