Senior Financial Analyst - Americas FP&A Reporting & Consolidations (Hybrid)

Job Summary

Avantor is looking for a dedicated and creative Sr. Financial Analyst to optimize our FP&A team, delivering results against some of the most complex business and technology initiatives.

The Sr Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the consolidation, reporting and analysis of regional forecasting and results. This associate will support the FP&A Manager to actively partner with segment FP&A leaders to continuously provide critical information, unbiased facts, and ownership/championing of insights and action planning to enhance growth and operating results. Effective communication and attention to detail will be a key for success. This role will work on complex assignments with extensive latitude for independent judgment.

What we're looking for

• Education: Bachelor's degree in business or finance; or relevant accounting experience
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or similar discipline
  • Strong working knowledge of Hyperion, Essbase and SAP, or similar program
  • Experience with Data Mining tools such as QlikView, Tableau, etc.

• In-depth knowledge of budgeting, and financial analysis processes.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to a complex business environment with sometimes ambiguous information, data requests, and/or limited resources available to complete.
• Project management skills
• Sense of urgency to complete tasks.
• Inquisitive and able to determine the root cause of issues.
• Interest in problem solving and learning new skills

How you will create an impact

• Consolidate and review financials within the Americas for reporting and analysis, including monthly results, quarterly forecasts and annual operating plan.
• Facilitates, expedites and resolves a variety of financial and reporting issues and/or questions raised by the business segments or operating teams.
• Supports development of financial presentation packages for review with Senior Leadership and various business partners on a periodic basis.
• Assists with quarterly public company reporting requirements associated with earnings release.
• Assists in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures. Recommends best practices based upon analytical review of factual data.
• Ability to create ad hoc financial models and problem solve various business issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• General interest in accounting principles and the desire to continue learning
